Do you do relaxation massage?

Yes, I do a combination of deep presure and relaxation massage which will not include any trigger point or aggresive work.

Do I have to be nude?

No. You undress to your comfort level. Many times if we are working to solve a problem area there is no need to remove any clothing. I use a lot of trigger point, and friction massage techniques so clothing does not need to be removed for this type of work. If you want a true relaxation massage then you should undress to a pair of shorts or to nude but it is important for you to feel comfortable. I will work at your comfort level. Either way if you are nude, in just your underwear or in shorts, then you will be drapped except for the area I am working at the time.

When I was draped why did you leave a "plumber's crack" showing?

In order to access the entire back and around the hips and sides this is the preferred method of drapping. This allows me to access all areas of the back and the top of the hips without reaching under the drape.

What types of Massage do you practice?

Deep Transverse Friction, Cross-fiber friction, Circular Friction, Swedish (which includes Effleurage, Petrissage, Tapotement), Vibration, Neuromuscular Therapy, Swedish Gymnastics, Lymphatic, Deep tissue, Stretching, Trigger point therapy. I started learning massage 30 years ago from a Swedish massage practitioner who was visiting the US with my roommates swimteam. My education continued when I went to Sweden in 1985 for 3 months. Most recently I went to the Georgia Massage School where I completed a 500 hour course in massage. I am very comfortable with the body which allows me to feel comfortable working deeper in the muscles. I also have a degree from the University of Georgia in Health and Physical Education with an emphasis on Sports Science including studies in Human Anatomy, Exercise Physiology, Human Physiology, Kinesiology, Stretching, etc.

Why do you do Massage?

I do massage so that I can help people overcome and correct soft tissue issues. Sometimes what I do is going to hurt. Sometimes the next day you will feel like you have been in a fight, but usually by the next day you feel good results. Every individual who comes to me comes with their own set of unique issues. My mission and calling is to help each of these individuals feel better. I have helped individuals who are training for Ironman Triatholons, to marathons, to tennis and most importantly individuals who are simply in chronic pain. My hope is that with my help that each person can achieve what that are hoping for.
